SENSUAL
BELLYDANCE – COMPLETE
SOUNDTRACK
Here
is a tour of the wonderful music you will be dancing to!
Some of the pieces are available on iTunes.
|
|
"Serpent's
Rapture" from Serpent's Garden by Mosavo
Dramatic
and lyrical, this song is the perfect complement to the
fluidity section that will get your muscles warmed up and
moving in an expansive and flowing manner. |
|
"Miyuki
(Beautiful Snow)" from Ruben Van Rompaey's Eastern Expressions 2: Gomera
Supple
feet and a flexible torso are so important for dancing sensually.
With this song as the soundtrack we will work on increasing
your body's flexibility, articulation and ability to dance
on the beat while keeping your upper body languid. |
|
"Danza
Marisa " from Eyes Behind the Veil by Daveed Korup
I
love this song for teaching how to make your shimmies more
sensual and effortless-looking. The secret is to perform
rhythmic shimmies and engaging certain muscles that will
give you the freedom to use other parts of your body (and
make them look sensual) while you shimmy. This will also
increase your ability to layer your shimmy over other movements. |
|
"Rebirth
2 " from Solace's Shawaza
This earthy and sensual track is used in 4 Progressions.
One of my favorite songs for teaching. |
|
"Brooklyn
Baladi"
from The Middle East Side by Djinn
Brooklyn Baladi is so wonderful. I looove it! It is also
my dream track for teaching the Arabic Hip Walk. It almost
tells your hips what to do. In addition, I use it in 4 other
Progressions, which are movement sequences
to improve your coordination and take your dance to the
next level.
|

|
"Ifrit" from Tim Rayborn's album The Flame and the Shadow
This
song is perfect for the storytelling and sensual movements
that you will apply in the choreography section.
|
|
"Persephone"
from The Seven Valleys by Stellamara
Stellamara's magical sound will take you to another world
as you learn beautiful poses and gestures in the cooldown
section.
|
|
"Tableaux
de Sourat - Lamma Bada Yatassanna"
from Sourat - Trait d’Union by Charbel Rouhana
An extra feature of Sensual Bellydance DVD is a dance I choreographed to this version of Lamma
Bada.
Charbel
Rouhana masterfully blends classical Western and Middle
Eastern music in this song that has inspired me to no end.

Pete List
to which I perform the dance you will learn. This
version of the choreography includes an additional floorwork
section. The album is Songs for Kassar.
